The Folly that is Humanity

How interesting and sad that humans are their own worst enemy. Humans are pretty much the cause of all their problems. The planet, the environment, would eventually heal itself and return to balance if humans were taken out of the equation. All other species live in balance with he environment, and as a result, the eradication of any other species would affect the balance. This cannot be said about humans. The eradication of humans would not adversely affect any other species. In fact, the environment would benefit from the eradication of humans. The only way we become relevant is to become less arrogant, less selfish as a species, and live in balance and harmony with the environment.

Thanksgiving in Manila

Any friends, family, Tbirds, Witt, ex-pats or on business in Manila over Thanksgiving and don't have any plans?  Head over to Mario's, 191 Tomas Morato Ave corner Scout Gandia in Quezon City.  They have a Thanksgiving turkey dinner on the menu.

Humanity

How can one be optimistic for humanity when humans insist on being shortsighted?

Religion

Why are people making an issue of evolution/creationism? Why not teach science in science class and religion in religion class? That's what they did in the parochial schools I attended and it didn't seem to confuse anyone.

Elections 2010

I guess it's commonplace for politicians to skew the truth to serve their purpose but the republican candidates for governor and lieutenant governor in texas, Rick perry and David Dewhurst, lie so cavalierly, both during their terms and now in their campaigns, they have no business being in office. Talk about a couple of slimy, scum buckets.
